Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms apply when a business (“you”) uses CallBack AI, run by Stuart Interactive, based in the UK (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. CallBack AI is for businesses, including sole traders. It isn't a consumer service.
1. What the service does
CallBack AI texts people who ring your business and don't get an answer, collects their details by text (usually what the job is, their name, postcode and a good time), and passes them to you. It gives you a CallBack phone number, an inbox, a call log and alerts to your mobile.
The service is in early access: we're taking on a small number of businesses and setting each one up personally. We keep improving it, which may mean changing how features work.
2. Free trial, prices and payment
- New accounts get a free trial of 30 days. First month free. No setup fee, no contract, cancel any time.
- After the trial, the price is the monthly price of your plan: Solo £49 a month (up to 150 missed calls a month) or Team £99 a month (up to 300 missed calls a month). Bigger firms are priced individually, as agreed in writing.
- We bill monthly in advance. We'll tell you how to pay (for example, invoice or card) before your trial ends.
- We aren't currently registered for VAT. If that changes, we'll tell you before any VAT is added.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. You can cancel before a change takes effect.
- If a payment is more than 14 days late, we may pause the service until it's paid. We'll warn you first.
3. Plan limits
Each plan includes a number of missed-call texts and automated replies a month. If you reach a limit, new missed calls are still logged but aren't texted until your next month starts, or until you move to a bigger plan. You can see your usage in Settings.
4. Cancelling
There's no minimum term. Cancel any time by emailing callbackai.uk@gmail.com; the service stops at the end of the month you've paid for, and we don't refund part-months. When you cancel, remove the divert from your phone (the setup guide shows how) and turn your voicemail back on. We may close your account if you break these terms or misuse the service.
5. Your CallBack number
We provide your CallBack number through our telephone provider. It's for use with CallBack AI only. It isn't yours to keep or move to another provider, and after you cancel it may be given to someone else. Calls diverted from your own phone to the CallBack number may be charged by your mobile network under your own tariff.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate details, keep your login secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- Use CallBack AI only to reply to people who have rung your business, and to follow up their enquiry. Don't use it to send marketing, bulk messages, or anything unlawful, misleading or offensive.
- You're responsible for your customers' personal data under UK data protection law (you're the “controller”), including telling them how you use it, for example in your own privacy notice.
- Check that the wording of your automatic texts and your settings (services, areas, opening hours) are accurate.
- Respond to the leads and alerts we send you. We pass on enquiries; we don't do the job or book it for you.
7. What we promise, and what we can't
- We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can.
- Texts and calls rely on mobile networks and our providers. We can't promise every text will be delivered or delivered instantly, that the service will never be interrupted, or that it will work with every network's divert settings.
- Automated replies are written by rules or an AI model. They're designed never to quote prices or book jobs, but they can occasionally misunderstand a customer. Always check the details before you act on them.
- CallBack AI is not an emergency service. When a customer mentions an emergency, such as a gas smell, it sends fixed safety advice and alerts you, but it can't make sure anyone is safe or that help arrives.
8. Your data, and your customers' data
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data. For your customers' data, we act as your processor, and these terms are our agreement to do so. We will:
- only use it to provide CallBack AI to you, on your instructions
- make sure anyone with access to it is bound to keep it confidential
- keep it secure, and make sure only your account can see it
- only use the providers listed in our privacy policy to help run the service. We'll tell you before adding another, and you can object
- help you respond to people exercising their data rights, and with any data protection questions you're asked
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your data
- delete it within 90 days after your account closes, unless you ask us for a copy first or the law requires us to keep it
- give you the information you reasonably need to show you're meeting your data protection duties
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Apart from that:
- we aren't liable for loss of profits, income, business, jobs or goodwill, or for any indirect loss, including jobs you didn't get because a text wasn't sent or delivered
- our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in those 12 months
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. We'll update the date at the top, and email you at least 30 days before any change that affects you badly. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
